In May 2026, the Global Health Academy team visited Chiricahua Community Health Centers in Cochise County, Arizona, to explore its potential as a domestic global health elective site. The visit highlighted the region’s unique border health dynamics, strong community-based care model, and opportunities for binational training. The team was inspired by CCHCI’s impact and the potential for meaningful, community-engaged education.

In March 2026, a joint Nuvance Health–Northwell Health delegation visited Kingston, Jamaica, to explore a new global health partnership with the University of the West Indies and the University Hospital of the West Indies. The visit assessed education and clinical capacity, emphasized bi-directional exchange and the Global Health Scholars Program, and laid the groundwork for a formal, equitable collaboration.

In March 2025, Dilyara Nurkhametova and the Nuvance Global Health team visited Botswana to strengthen partnerships and advance neurology collaboration. Meetings with hospitals and the University of Botswana focused on expanding global health programs and building a neurology training initiative. Academic lectures by Drs. In August 2025, Anastasia Zholud and Dr. Bulat Ziganshin visited Yerevan to strengthen ties with Armenia’s National Institute of Health.
